Materials

We use Sterling Silver and 14k Gold Filled in our jewelry.  Sterling refers to an alloy of silver that contains 92.4% pure silver and 7.5 % other metals.  Gold filled metals are a slightly more complicated process where a layer of karat gold is applied to a base of less costly metal through heat and pressure.  This produces a surface with karat gold.  The layer of karat gold must be equal to at least 1/20 of the total weight of the item.

We use 8 mm habotia and 12 mm crepe de chine silk for our shibori scarves.  The scarves are dyed in small eco-friendly batches using cellulose and protein dyes.
